Due to the Corona pandemic, no project meetings can take place. Also no cross-border trainings can take place. The Austrian National Agency has consulted about this. They have decided to extend the duration of the project by 6 months. The project will run until 31.10.2021.

InnoTrain stands for the promotion of learning at the workplace. This includes workplace learning in all forms. It aims to support the professional development of teachers, trainers and mentors. This will support them in their professional training and development.
Project partners design workplace learning. Business partners and social partners collaborate. It is also called "work based learning". The short form is WBL. An important theme of WBL is vocational education.
Work-based learning is experiential learning. While working, learners are encouraged. This allows their skills to be enhanced and mistakes to be avoided.
Collaboration among stakeholders needs to be strengthened and made more creative. This can close the gap between education and the labor market. Thus, learners have good opportunities to further their education. One good way is learning on the job.
Many young people do not have a job. Something should be done against this unemployment. Several work programs have been developed for this purpose. The 2017 Commission and Erasmus+ have collaborated. In the programs, the very first thing is about the young people without work. They have priority.
In our InnoTrain project, interested groups work together. The group participants come from several countries. The countries are: Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain and Greece. They are studying together common local problems. They want to face challenges together. This is to further develop and strengthen partnerships in vocational education.
The project has set several goals. Vocational education specialists are to be given more reach. Measures and programs will be developed for this purpose.
Products are also to be developed. These products can then improve the professional skills of people who work practically. These individuals are also involved in vocational education. They also collaborate in workplace learning programs. Since they work practically they are very well suited for this.
The developed methods are used in several European countries.
